• Language Development: Singing songs introduces new vocabulary, improves pronunciation, and strengthens language comprehension. Rhythm and melody also help children grasp sentence structure and phonetics.
• Memory Skills: Learning songs, lyrics, and musical patterns boosts memory retention and recall, helping children improve their ability to memorize sequences and concepts.
• Mathematical Thinking: Music often involves counting beats, recognizing patterns, and understanding rhythm, all of which reinforce early math skills, such as counting and sequencing.

Ruth Zaccaria is a licensed occupational therapist with over 20 years of experience working with children in both clinical and educational settings. She will support children’s development through a holistic and individualized approach by providing on-site support focused on fine motor skill development, sensory regulation strategies, and total body strengthening. 

Once a month, children will enjoy a fun and engaging introduction to the Spanish language! Through songs, games, stories, and hands-on activities, children will learn early Spanish vocabulary including colors, numbers, animals, greetings, and other everyday words and phrases. Each class is designed to spark curiosity while helping children build confidence in listening to and speaking a new language.  Introducing a second language in early childhood supports cognitive development, strengthens memory and listening skills, and fosters an appreciation for different cultures. Most importantly, it encourages a love of learning through meaningful, playful experiences that make language come alive.
